Billie Holiday – All or Nothing at All: I’ve been listening to a lot of Ella Fitzgerald lately, but the days leading up to Christmas were grey and gloomy, so Billie Holiday fit a little better. This was recorded a few years before she died, and her voice possessed a sense of wisdom and experience that eluded her earlier recordings.

Kristin Malossi – Fact Mix 881 DJ Voices: This was my soundtrack for wrapping Christmas gifts, and it helped me enjoy something I typically don’t enjoy doing.

Jon Hopkins & King Creosote – Diamond Mine: After a “meh” reaction a few years ago, I liked Diamond Mine a lot more this time around. It feels like a record that deserves a focused listen.

Sault – Untitled (God): I’ve been listening as part of my and Bob’s “conversations.” While this is growing on me a bit, I’m still not impressed.
